Brookwood has received a dollar-for-dollar matching-funds offer from String Swing of rural Ontario for the replacement of the school’s stage curtains.

The cost to replace the curtains will be $15,000. To cover this expense, Brookwood is seeking donations that will be matched dollar for dollar by the support of String Swing, a locally owned and operated company located less than two miles from the school. The dollar-for-dollar matching funds mean that if an individual donates $10, it will be worth $20 in real donation funds.

The stage is used for various functions, including theatre productions, public speakers, the annual Veterans Day celebration, concerts, and other cultural and school events. With improved facilities, the school looks forward to continued commitment to arts and community. If donations surpass the goal amount, additional funds will be used for updating lighting and sound and replacing the main drape for the stage.

Donations are tax deductible and can be sent to Brookwood High School, attn. Kim Neal Nofsinger, 28861 Hwy. 131, Ontario, WI 54561. Checks to Brookwood Theatre Activity Fund are being accepted.
