Brookwood open rehearsal is Sunday

As a fundraiser, the Brookwood theatre program will have an open rehearsal at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, in the Classic Gym.

Money raised will be used to fund their trip to the State One-Act Theater Festival in Whitewater on Nov. 18–19.

Last weekend, the group traveled to Waunakee for the Sectional One-Act Festival and qualified for the state competition sponsored by Wisconsin Interscholastic Speech and Dramatic Arts Association. Brookwood’s performance of “Bedtime Stories (As Told by My Dad) (He Messed Them Up)” was critiqued by a panel of three adjudicators and was assessed for its quality of performance, ensemble, and direction. The production was assessed as “excellent” and was given the distinct honor of advancing to state.

Cast and crew members include Miranda Arndt, Ayawyn Conner, Jackie Hernandez, Madellenn Honaker, Danica Lee, Christian McElhose, Katherine McElhose, Cooper Powell, and Brayden Thieman.

There will be no set admission for the Sunday showing, but monetary donations will be collected at the door. No advance tickets are needed, but if you want to make a reservation, email director Kim Neal Nofsinger at [email protected] People who are unable to attend but are interested in financially supporting the theatre program may do so by contacting Nofsinger at the email above.
