The Royall National Honor Society will sponsor its 14th annual Christmas Reading Tree to promote children’s reading and to furnish books to preschool and elementary-age children in Royall Schools.

To participate, visit the tree at Royall High School in December to make a monetary donation or to bring a new children’s book (hardback or paperback) suitable for preschoolers through fifth-graders.

To take your donations, National Honor Society members will be at high school home sporting events, the intermediate school Christmas concert (Thursday, Dec. 4), and the middle school and high school Christmas concert (Monday, Dec. 8). Donations of money or books also may be left at the high school office. Local organizations or businesses that would like to make a donation may contact Janet Baeseman at 462-2600.

Each year for the past 13 years, the National Honor Society has given a book to each preschool through fifth-grade student in the Royall School District.
