Monroe County reported that two more residents had died of Covid-19, bringing the total to 22 since the start of the pandemic.

The health department stated, “Please, let’s honor their memories by doing what we can to stop the spread of Covid-19. Stay home as much as possible, wear a face covering if you must leave home, practice physical distancing, and avoid gathering with people you do not live with. Do it for your friends, your family, your coworkers, and your community.”

Also, the county had 28 new cases today, resulting in a cumulative tally of 2,984, of which 262 are active (nine are hospitalized), 2,700 have recovered, and 22 have died.

Vernon County reported 19 new cases, all of whom are recovering at home:

• A male between 0–9 years old

• A male between 10–19 years old

• A male in his 20s

• Two males in their 40s

• A male in his 50s

• A male in his 60s

• A male in his 70s

• A male in his 90s

• Two females between 0–9 years old

• Two females between 10–19 years old

• A female in her 40s

• Three females in their 50s

• Two females in their 70s

Of the total 1,307 cases, 1,077 have recovered, 12 are hospitalized, 195 are isolating at home, and 23 have died.

Juneau County had 34 new cases, which brings its total to 1,568. Of those, 310 are active (seven are hospitalized), 342 have been released from isolation, 908 have recovered, and eight have died.

No new inmate cases were reported at the New Lisbon Correctional Institute, which has six active cases, two of whom are hospitalized. Altogether, the facility has had 530 cases since the Aug. 15 start of the outbreak.
