Sandra D. Scott, 72, of Tomah died peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, surrounded by loved ones at home.
On Nov. 11, 1952, Sandra was born to Robert and Margaret (McKinley) Marsh in Biloxi, Miss. With her father being in the Air Force, she lived in many different places before settling in Tomah. She was a member of the Tomah High School’s graduating class of 1970. She married her high school sweetheart, Alan Scott, and together they soon bought a farm south of Tomah.

The two would spend 54 loving years together before he preceded her in death on March 19, 2023. Sandy enjoyed the farm life. She was a hard worker who always had beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. She had an artist’s heart and enjoyed taking nature pictures, especially out on the farm. She was a talented seamstress, and everyone brought her things to sew. She had a great group of close friends, Connie, Nancy, Jody, Peggy and Sue.
Most important to Sandy was her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was constantly playing tricks, reading to them, and playing alongside them. This is when her fun-loving personality would come out the most. Her favorite times of the year were Halloween, when she would build a haunted house in her basement, and Christmas, when things were always magical, with a perfect tree and loving family all around. Sandy will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She survived by her children, Randy (Lori), Chad (Wendy) and Tracy (Wade) Lambert, all of Tomah; her grandchildren, Derrick (Yen), Shelby (Cody) Stone, Mariah (Daniel) Riese, Hannah, Caleb, Vince, Gianna, Haden, and Cortney; her great-grandchildren, Luna, Rosie, Carter, Hallie, Scottie, Sam, and Jamie; her sister, Ruby (Jerry) Adkins; and her sisters-in-law, Carol Tillotson, Judy (Bob) Geertsma, and Karla (Rob) Biller. She is further survived by other relatives and many dear friends.
Private family services will be held. Online condolences may be sent to sonnenburgfamilyfh.com. The Sonnenburg Family Funeral home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
