Former Tomah police chief and Monroe County Sheriff candidate Wes Revels has been elected chairman of the Tomah Memorial Hospital board of directors.
Elected to head the hospital board during the organization’s annual meeting Jan. 21, Revels replaces Tomah businessman Steve Austin, whose term on the board had ended.
Revels had served the past year as hospital board vice chairman. Also, current board member Cynthia Erdman was elected vice chair.
Newly elected director Patty Clark, the executive director of Handishop Industries in Tomah, will serve a three-year term, filling Austin’s seat.
Members also reelected current board directors James Quartemont as secretary and Jim Starkweather as treasurer, both of whom will serve one-year terms.
Representing the hospital’s medical staff, Mayo Clinic Health System Tomah Clinic physicians Michael Saunders and Alan Conway were elected last year to two-year terms.
Directors Kurt Olson, Paul Potter and Terrie Gaarder complete the 10-member board.
