The featured author for 2022 is Sue Berg. We encourage you to read Sue’s books this summer and participate in a book discussion at the library on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 2 p.m. The final event of Vernon County Reads will be Thursday, Aug. 18, at 7 p.m. at the Hillsboro Community Center. Sue Berg will speak about her mystery series during the event. She also will have her books for sale, including the third book in the “Jim Higgins” mystery series.

Our annual summer reading program wrapped up at the end of June. Participants were tasked with completing an activity bingo card. We had seven kids submit their blackout bingo cards for a chance to win a prize. The prize winners can pick up their prize at the library. Congratulations to Adella Nottestad, Brittney O’Rourke, Charlie Parr, Kylie Morrison, Trysten Morrison, Isaac Parr, and Ava Heller-Laabs
