Monroe County reports 30 new cases over the weekend; Juneau County, 23

 

Monroe County had 30 new cases of Covid-19 over the weekend, according to the health department.

Seventeen were reported Saturday and 13 on Sunday.

The health department noted that its staff was busy with disease investigation and contact tracing and therefore did not have an age and gender breakdown for the weekend numbers.

Additionally, the Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District reported late Sunday night that it had a student case of Covid-19.

With the weekend cases, Monroe County’s Covid-19 count has risen by 87 in one week. The following are the Covid-19 numbers in Monroe County over the past week:

• Monday, Sept. 14 — seven cases

• Tuesday, Sept. 15 — eight cases

• Wednesday, Sept. 16 — 12 cases

• Thursday, Sept. 17 — 12 cases

• Friday, Sept. 18 — 18 cases

In addition to the 30 over the weekend, Monroe County today had four new cases: a male between 10–14 years old, a male between 15–19 years old, a male in his 60s, and a male in his 40s. 

The county’s total cases is 408, of which 91 are active (one is hospitalized), 315 have recovered, and two have died.

Juneau County had 23 cases over the weekend and one today, bringing its total to 334 confirmed cases, of which 66 are active (one is hospitalized), 92 have been released from isolation, 173 have recovered, and three have died.
