Alan Jerome Bell, 81, of Kendall, Wis., passed away peacefully Nov. 23, 2025, at home, surrounded by family. Alan was born on June 14, 1944, to Norman and Marion (Wuensch) Bell.

He grew up on the family farm in Schumann Valley near Elroy, Wis., where he enjoyed his sheep and cows. Alan attended the one-room Hillside School, just up the road, until eighth grade and graduated with honors from Hillsboro High School in 1962. He purchased a dairy farm near Mount Tabor after graduation and married Wilma Harpold in 1965. They were blessed two children, Kristin Kay (Keith) and Todd (Julia). Alan enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from 1965 to 1967.

In 1972, he married Deanna (Brandt), creating a warm and loving blended family with the addition of Michael (Marina), Kristina (Shane) and Dawn (Ken). After selling the farm, he worked for Foremost Farms and Juneau County Parks until his retirement. Alan enjoyed traveling to bluegrass festivals and Branson. He is survived by his children and stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many cousins and friends. He was proceeded in death by his wife Deanna, brother Doug, granddaughter Gwendolyn, and his parents.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Evangelical Free Church of Kendall, 104 E. Hall St. Kendall. Thomas Rowan will officiate. Burial will be at the Glendale Cemetery, with military honors by the William J. Schriver American Legion Post 309. Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation at the church at 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of service.
