The Wilton Public Library chess club will host its Chess Fun Day on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9–11:30 a.m. We will live stream one of the matches in the World Chess Championship between current world champion Magnus Carlsen and challenger Fabiano Caruana. We will have fun chess-themed activities and crafts, a blind chess exhibition, as well as yummy baked goods. Come check it out and help support our chess club.

Our Memory Connections group meets the first Tuesday of every month. If you are experiencing memory loss or provide care for someone with memory loss, this group might interest you. Please join us Nov. 6 at 1 p.m. as we offer opportunities for people to come together to share experiences, find support and learn about resources. A dementia specialist will be available.

The library is looking for your old fall photographs for the Winding Rivers Library System’s ECHO (Exploring Cultural History Online) Project. We would like to scan your pre-1974 (think black and white) images of fall harvest, hunting, leaf piles or Thanksgiving dinner. This will preserve your image and make it available to anyone via this project and Recollection Wisconsin. You will receive bragging rights and full recognition for your picture and we will return your image to you immediately upon scanning. Thanks for sharing!
