The Wilton Public Library is accepting applications for our theatre workshop in July.

The workshop is designed for students entering third through seventh grade, and enrollment will be limited to 12 participants. Students will engage daily in the development of acting skills, creative drama and rehearsals. Participants will create a performance centered on a retelling of fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm. This production will provide humorous twists on these classic tales.

Also, two positions will be open for volunteers to assist with the workshop. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old.

Dates for the workshop will be Monday, July 9, through Saturday, July 14, and Monday, July 16, through Friday, July 20, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and Friday, July 20, from 4–7 p.m. Participants must attend all days. Kim Neal Nofsinger will facilitate the workshop, which will conclude with a performance at 6 p.m. Friday, July 20.

Applications are available at the library or on the library’s website at www.wrlsweb.org/wilton. Applications must be submitted to the Wilton Library by Friday, May 11.
