The Wilton Public Library now will offer free, online, instructor-led classes through Gale Courses. There are hundreds of classes. Some might help you in your career — Speed Spanish, Accounting Fundamentals, or Medical Terminology — and others can help you thrive — Meditation, Digital Photography, and Test Preparation. These classes can be taken at the library or in your home; all you need is an internet connection and your library card. Please log into the library’s website, browse the Gale Courses catalog, and sign up for a class. We will feature courses in this space in the following weeks.

The library’s chess club, The Check Mates, meets the first and third Tuesday of every month; our next meeting will be at 4 p.m. at April 3. This group has really grown in number, with many new players learning the game. It is never too late to begin. Players of all levels of experience are invited to attend.

Our homeschool group will meet at the library again from 2–4 p.m. Friday, April 13. Please contact the library if you are interested in joining this cooperative effort.
