Vernon County Sheriff’s Report for Sept. 18–24

Monday, Sept. 18: Rodney Myhre of La Crosse backed into a post at Kwik Trip in Stoddard. His vehicle was damaged but could be driven. He was not injured.

Tuesday, Sept. 19: Xiaoting Liu of Viroqua reported that the lock had been cut off her storage unit in the town of Viroqua. The lock was found inside the storage unit, but nothing appeared to be missing.

Wednesday, Sept. 20: Dirk Dannhoff of Stoddard reported that three bird feeders had been stolen from his Stoddard property.

Saturday, Sept. 23: Richard Cordero of La Farge engaged his directional signal and was slowing to make a left-hand turn into an alley on Bird Street in La Farge. At the same time, Kamala Bierman of La Farge, thought Cordero was parking and went around the left-hand side of his vehicle. Cordero struck the Bierman vehicle as he was turning into the alley. Sustaining disabling damage, the Cordero vehicle was towed, and Cordero suffered possible injuries. The Bierman vehicle sustained functional damage, though Bierman was not injured.

Three car/deer crashes were reported last week:

• Donald Henry of Viroqua, on Highway 27, town of Christiana

• Dean Daniels of Westby, on Neprud Road, town of Christiana

• Karen Fowell of La Farge, on Highway 131, town of Liberty
