Vernon County Sheriff’s Report for June 12–18

Monday, June 12: Dacoda Preuss of Hillsboro was traveling westbound on Highway 33 in the town of Hillsboro and began to hydroplane. The vehicle left the roadway, went through a ditch, and struck a legally parked vehicle in a private parking lot. The parked vehicle belonged to Marell, Inc. No injuries were sustained.

Tuesday, June 13: While negotiating a curve on Hickory Ridge Road in the town of Genoa, Chase Nagel of Milwaukee lost control, traveled across the lane of travel, hit the ditch, and overturned. The vehicle came to a rest on its roof. Nagel reported no injuries at the time of crash.

Tuesday, June 13: David Waddell of La Farge was traveling westbound on Nelson Road in the town of Stark when he struck a cow in the roadway. Waddell did not sustain any injuries; however, the cow did not survive.

Thursday, June 15: A black Angus bull and cattle were reported loose near the road on County Highway N, south of Shannon Road, in the town of Sterling.

• Joshua Nevsimal of Westby, on Highway 14, town of Christiana

• Chris Dregne of Westby, on Highway 14, town of Coon

• Keith Tunks of Coon Valley, on Highway 14, town of Coon
