Monday, Jan. 16: Jane Pagel of Soldiers Grove was traveling east on Highway 14 near Mango Lane in the town of Kickapoo. Due to icy road conditions, the vehicle began to slide into the oncoming lane of traffic, and then it struck the guardrail on the west side of the roadway. Pagel was able to gain control of the vehicle and safely returned into the eastbound lane and came to a controlled stop on the shoulder of the road. There were no apparent injuries.
Monday, Jan. 16: As Claudia Malin of Genoa was traveling south on Highway 35 in the town of Bergen, she began to pass the vehicle ahead of her, but when she pulled back into the southbound lane, her vehicle began to fishtail. The vehicle spun around and went off the right side of the road and into a ditch, and then hit some trees. No injuries were reported. The vehicle had minor damage.
Thursday, Jan. 19: Traveling east on County Highway SS in the town of Viroqua, Kendra Peterson of Cashton went up a hill, negotiated a curve, and began to fishtail. The vehicle slid left across the road, went into the ditch, and struck an embankment. No injuries were reported at the time of the crash. The vehicle received minor damage.
Thursday, Jan. 19: Gabriel Kapanke of Stoddard was traveling north on Highway 35 in the town of Bergen. Kapanke negotiated a slight curve to the left, hit ice while crossing the bridge, and slid off the west side of the road. Then the vehicle traveled down an embankment, slid sideways, overturned, and came to a rest on its top. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed.
Friday, Jan. 20: Saxon Hutmacher of Westby was traveling east on Highway 56 in the town of Liberty. Hutmacher went uphill, hit ice, and lost control. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, stuck a ditch, and overturned. The vehicle came to a rest on its left side. No injuries occurred, and the vehicle received moderate damage.
Friday, Jan. 20: Tara Holen of Westby was traveling northbound downhill on Jore Road in the town of Coon, began to fishtail, spun around, went off the road to the right, and overturned three times. The vehicle came to a rest on its roof. Holen reported a possible injury, but was not transported to the hospital. The vehicle was towed due to disabling damage.
