Monday, April 30: Carl Daffinrud of Coon Valley reported that a 6-foot cedar bench was stolen from his property on County Highway P. 

Tuesday, May 1: Richard Oberembt of Denver, Colo., was making a delivery for American Furniture Warehouse on Highway 33 in the town of Whitestown, traveling eastbound in a semi-trailer truck attempting to make a left turn into a parking lot/driveway. George Kelbel of Hillsboro was behind Oberembt and passed Oberembt on the left. Kelbel and Oberembt’s vehicles collided. Both vehicles had functional damage. Neither driver reported injuries.

Tuesday, May 1: Tanner Bollman of Prairie du Chien, Wis., was traveling northbound on Highway 35 in the town of Genoa when he struck a rock in the roadway. Heavy rains had caused the rock, which was about 1 foot tall, 2 feet wide and 3 feet long, to fall off a nearby bluff. Bollman’s vehicle was towed due to disabling damage. He reported no injuries.

One car/deer accident was reported last week: Phillip Vesbach of Viroqua hit a deer on County Highway SS in the town of Viroqua.
