The Vernon County Health Department reported its fifth and sixth Covid-19 cases today.
Both of the new cases are men in their 50s who are recovering at home.
Two of the six cases have recovered, and one remains hospitalized.
So far, 672 tests have been conducted, yielding 646 negative results and six positive results. Twenty tests are pending.
Community spread of Covid-19 has occurred in the local region and throughout the state, according to the health department.
The health department states, “The best way to protect yourself and others is to stay at home as much as possible, especially if you are experiencing signs of illness, wear a fabric mask when in public, practice social distancing by staying at least 6 feet away from other people, wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and clean frequently touched surfaces and objects daily.”
