The waiting line wound all of the way around the hall as St. Joseph’s Memorial Foundation served more than 300 people at its annual spring salad luncheon and geranium sale April 27 in the Hillsboro Firemen’s Community Center.
Jan Endicott, co-chair of the annual spring event, said, “The luncheon’s reputation for serving up a bountiful variety of great tasting salads added with the opportunity for socializing is always a successful combination for this popular event. I am sure that we could not hold this event without the hard working Foundation members, the Friends of the Foundation and of course the staff from Gundersen St. Joseph’s who donate salads and roll up their sleeves to see that everyone gets a seat, dessert and then sticks around to clean up.”
Money raised from this event will be used for new voice-activated mannequins, which will be used to train staff and EMS for emergency cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and a new rehabilitation treadmill for Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital and Clinics.
