Senior menus for Aug. 6–10

ONTARIO MEAL SITE

Meals are served in the Ontario Public Library basement. To make a reservation, sign up at the meal site the day before the meal or call the Vernon County Unit on Aging at (888) 637-1323 by 8:30 a.m. the day of the meal.

Monday, Aug. 6: Pizza with sausage, mushrooms and onion, tossed salad, whole-wheat bread and fruit pizza

Tuesday, Aug. 7: Chicken casserole with broccoli, cauliflower and carrots, stuffing and birthday cake

Thursday, Aug. 9: Tater-tot casserole, mixed vegetables, orange juice, whole-wheat bread and watermelon

Friday, Aug. 10: Shrimp or hamburgers, sweet-potato fries, whole-wheat bread, cookies and mandarin oranges

KENDALL, NORWALK AND WILTON MEAL SITES

Call 463-7622 (Kendall), 343-3158 (Norwalk) and 487-6130 (Wilton) by noon the day before to reserve a meal. Meals are served at 11:30 a.m. in Kendall and Wilton and at 12 p.m. in Norwalk. The Kendall meal site is at Kenview Manor, 412 Spring St.; the Wilton meal site, Wilton Fire Station, 806 Railroad St.; and the Norwalk meal site, Norwalk Senior Citizens Center, 309 Main St.

Monday, Aug. 6: Meatballs with gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans and cranberry mold

Tuesday, Aug. 7: Cheesy-topped chili with crackers, lettuce salad and strawberry cream pie

Wednesday, Aug. 8: Hamburgers, summer pasta salad, fresh vegetables with ranch, and peaches

Thursday, Aug. 9: Chicken broccoli casserole, mixed vegetables and oatmeal cake

Friday, Aug. 10: Breaded fish, tri-taters, peas and mandarin/pineapple blend

ELROY MEAL SITE

Meals are served at Grace Lutheran Church, 226 Erickson St. For more information, call 462-5175.

Monday, Aug. 6: Lasagna, tossed salad, French dressing, pears and garlic toast

Tuesday, Aug. 7: Baked chicken, potatoes, broccoli, cranberries, dinner rolls and Jell-O with fruit

Thursday, Aug. 9: Meatloaf, potato wedges, green-bean casserole, dinner rolls and pie

Friday, Aug. 10: Fish with tartar sauce, oven-browned potatoes, peas and carrots, dinner rolls, and pudding with topping
