The Royall School District will once again serve summer meals to area youth starting Monday, June 7.

Everyone who is 18 and younger, regardless of address, and those who are 19 and have a physical or mental disability are welcome to receive a daily cold breakfast and hot lunch Monday through Thursday.

On Thursdays, the district will distribute two cold breakfasts, one cold lunch and one hot lunch. One breakfast and the cold lunch are intended for Friday’s meals.

Locations for the service in June will be the Royall high school cafeteria from noon until 12:30, Elroy Gazebo (by the Elroy Post Office) from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Schultz Park from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., and the Kendall Gazebo from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Children need not be present for meal pickup. A parent or guardian can pick up meals for their children. Parents or guardians need not be present either; children are welcome to attend on their own. If children or families would like to stay and eat again this year, we welcome them to, but they do not need to stay to receive the meals.

Adults are welcome to pick up meals for themselves at a cost of $3.

If families and daycare providers have a site they know they would frequent, the school asks that you let them know where and which days. This way the school can ensure your meals are ready and waiting for you.
