The Royall boys track team won a half dozen events at last week’s meet at North Crawford and finished second as a team to Kickapoo/La Farge.
The Panthers were led by Chandler Townsend, who won the high jump, triple jump and was part of the 400-meter relay team that also took first. Townsend was second in the 100-meter dash to teammate Gunnar Juresh, though both recorded a time of 12.15.
The 400-meter relay team (Adrian Reneau, Connor Gates, Gunnar Juresh and Chandler Townsend) finished with a time of 48.64. Also, Sam Guilfoil won the shot put event with a 41.04.5.
Juresh claimed the 200-meter dash title (24.63), and Reneau was third in the same event.
In the 400, Gates took third. The 800-meter relay team (Hunter Newlun, Cameron Townsend, Adrian Reneau, David Stark) also was third.
Ian Braund took third in the shot put, and Nolan Knudtson was third in discus.
Abigail Crneckiy took second in the triple jump with a distance of 28-05. Her teammate Brittani Woodworth was second in discus (97-02).
The Royall girls were sixth (35.5 points) among 10 participating teams.
Royall will return to the track Saturday at Cashton.
