State Sen. Jennifer Shilling will continue a roundtable discussion on opioid and illegal drug abuse, offering the second in the series from 3–4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, in Viroqua.
The discussion will be at the Western Technical College building, Room 126, 220 S. Main St.
Due to parking lot construction, attendees should use the Rock Avenue entrance. Street parking is available, as is the Fraternal Order of the Eagles parking lot of Rock Avenue.
Area health officials, law enforcement, local elected officials and members of addiction recovery organizations will be in attendance to discuss methamphetamine, heroin and opioid addiction in western Wisconsin.
The first of these discussions was in La Crosse on July 19. Shilling plans to hold roundtable discussions in Monroe and Crawford counties over the coming weeks. These events are open to the public.
