The Kickapoo Valley Reserve and the Southwest Badger Resource Conservation & Development Council will have a purple-loosestrife control day at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30.
The KVR and the Southwest BRC&D are seeking volunteers in teams of two to four people to sign up for a section of the Kickapoo River to destroy the invasive plant. The river will be divided up into five sections, each of which will range from two to four miles. The KVR will provide 10 canoes as well as lifejackets, paddles and shuttling services free of charge.

Southwest Badger Resource Conservation & Development Council is a nonprofit organization working in the southwest Wisconsin region.
