Kayla Michelle-Condoleo, 29, of Ontario and Robert Vernon Hansen, 29, of Wilton were referred to the Monroe County District Attorney after a late September incident in the town of Sheldon, the Tomah Monitor-Herald reported Monday.
Reportedly Condoleo had been struck by a car driven by Hansen, according to the Tomah Monitor-Herald. Telling police that she and Condoleo had argued, a witness said the latter had “directed threatening and abusive language” toward and “challenged her to a fight,” the newspaper also reported.
According to the witness, she and Hansen got into a car to leave and Condoleo was hit when she ran after the car.
But according to another witness, Condoleo had got out to remove a cat that had been on the front hood of the car when Hansen allegedly “floored it in reverse,” according to the Tomah Monitor-Herald.
Taken to Vernon Memorial Hospital in Viroqua, Condoleo was fitted with a cast and told police she had a broken knee and ankle.
Condoleo was referred for disorderly conduct; and Hansen, for negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
