Ontario Public Library to offer tour of ‘War Ink’ virtual exhibit

By APRIL ARNDT | Ontario Public Library director

Join us at the Ontario Public Library at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, for a tour through the “War Ink” virtual exhibit. “War Ink” is a project that explores veterans’ experiences through the visual medium of tattoo art. The virtual exhibit will show us how the tattoos veterans choose for themselves document experiences, memorialize fallen comrades, and express emotional response.

A member of the Ontario American Legion Post 467 will join us to talk about the history of Post 467 and its role in our community. A light snack will be provided.

The next book group selection is “The Deal of a Lifetime” by Fredrick Backman. This is a humorous and compassionate short story that is a perfect read for the holiday season. Copies of the book are available at the circulation desk. The book group will meet to discuss “The Deal of a Lifetime” at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12.
