Sock ‘Em, a group that knits different sock patterns, will meet at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, to learn how to knit socks using the Magic Loop. If you know how to knit, but would like to start knitting socks, this would be the place to start. Karen Austad will show us how to use the magic-loop method of knitting. You can use that method to knit simple or more intricate sock patterns. Check out our website or call the library for suggestions on appropriate needles and yarn for your project.

The book group will discuss “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11. Stop by the library for a copy if you would like to read the book or join the discussion.

“Mindfulness @ the Library” is set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18. Feeling scattered and stressed out with the holiday rush? Join us as we take a deep breath and focus our awareness on the here and now. We will practice some mindfulness exercises and share thoughts on ways to be aware and present in our everyday lives.
