The Ontario Public Library book group will discuss “The Husband’s Secret” by Liane Moriarty at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13. This a “gripping, thought-provoking novel about how well it is possible to really know our spouses-and, ultimately, ourselves,” according to the publisher’s blurb. Stop by the library for a copy if you would like to join the discussion.

The media-conversion lab has arrived. The library has equipment for patrons to use to convert audiocassettes and vinyl to either compact discs or thumb drives. We also have equipment to convert VHS tapes to DVDs. So sort through those old tapes now and plan to get them converted to today’s formats.
The tapes cannot have a copyright, but those old family videos or recordings can be converted. There will be instructions that you can use to convert your audiocassettes, vinyl records or VHS tapes. Call the library to sign up for a time that is convenient for you. The equipment is part of the Winding Rivers Library System’s media-conversion lab, and we will have the equipment through Saturday, Dec. 16.
