Last month Ontario area residents took the opportunity to join in the Community Conversation program, which focuses on the strengths and challenges facing the area.

The process was a hit among the attendees, and it inspired two more conversations, which are set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, and 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, at the Ontario Public Library.

Ontario residents as well as those from the surrounding area are welcome to attend. A questionnaire will be available to give some directionto the conversation.

If you are unable to attend, the questionnaire is available at the library and the village office and should be completed and left at the library. It also will be available in this quarter’s water bills.

Community Conversations is a project of the Ontario Economic Development Committee, which has been holding monthly meetings since last fall. The group was formed to develop a vision and action plan for the future of Ontario.

The group has used the services of the Mississippi River Regional Planning Commission, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation and the Vernon Economic Development Association.
