Outside United Methodist Church in Norwalk is a blessing box, which was installed at the end of July.
This box has nonperishable foods inside, along with Christian literature. “It is for anyone who needs to be fed physically or spiritually,” according to church member Linda Beier. Painted on the blessing box is this saying: “Take what you need; leave what you can, but most of all be blessed!”
According to Beier, the Methodist church thought there was a need in Norwalk for something like this, and members of the congregation took on the task to build the box and install it.
