Norwalk Public Library has new books, DVDs

The Norwalk Public Library has several new items:

Books

• “Chaos” by Patricia Cornwell

• “Lilac Girls” by Martha Hall Kelly

DVDs

• “Supergirl: The Complete First Season,” starring Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood and Calista Flockhart

The “Hot Reads for Cold Nights” program started Jan. 2 at Norwalk Public Library. Read a book, write a review, and win a prize. We still have 15 mugs, so read, read, read. The program will end when the mugs are all gone.

The St. Patrick’s Day Coloring Contest for kindergartners through eighth-graders runs from Feb. 27 to March 17.  Pick up your picture to color any day between Feb. 27 and March 17. Prizes will be awarded March 17. Also, come play the Right/Left Game at 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 17.

The mystery-book group will discuss James Patterson’s “2nd Chance,” the second book in the “Women’s Murder Club” series, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 3.

The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton Elementary School Traveling Preschool Playgroup will be at the Norwalk Public Library from 10–11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 8. Treats, stories, and games geared for preschoolers will be offered, with a chance for caregivers to talk to educators.
