The summer reading program “Libraries Rock!” will start Wednesday, June 6, with a movie from 10:30 to 11:30 am, “The School of Rock.” The first craft event, when we will make a tissue-box guitar, will be from 1–2 p.m. Friday, June 8.

The second week, the movie “Jumanji” will be shown from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, and we will make oatmeal-box drums from 1–2 p.m. If anyone has an empty, clean oatmeal box, please consider donating it to the library for this craft.

The third week, the movie “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” will be shown from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, and the craft event on Friday, June 22, will be “Dooby, Dooby, Moo” Reader’s Theater from 1–2 p.m.

The fourth week, the movie will be “The Greatest Showman,” from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, and on Friday, June 29, join the singalong from the movie from 1–2 p.m.

Also, from June 6–29, write a book report and win a prize, and there will also be prizes for the person who read the most books and the two runners-up. The book reports will be kept at the desk in a three-ring binder, and the readers will sign their names to a list at one of the shelf ends and keep track of the number of books read with big red dots.
