As part of the summer reading program, Pam Brandau and her therapy dog Nika visited the Norwalk Public Library on June 28. Eighteen children petted and read to Nika while five adults watched.
Also that day, prizes were awarded at the Color party, children played a left/right game, and everyone got a small toy and an oatmeal raisin cookie.

Anyone within the path of totality can see one of nature’s most awe-inspiring sights — a total solar eclipse. This path, where the moon will completely cover the sun and the sun’s tenuous atmosphere — the corona — will stretch from Salem, Ore., to Charleston, S.C. Observers outside this path will still see a partial solar eclipse in which the moon covers part of the sun’s disk.
