New fiction titles available at Norwalk Public Library

The Norwalk Public Library has several new books:

Children’s fiction

• “Diary of a Wimpy Kid, 10: Old School” by Jeff Kinney

• “Diary of a Wimpy Kid, 11: Double Down” by Jeff Kinney

Fiction

• “A Christmas Party” by Georgette Heyer

• “NYPD Red 4” by James Patterson and Marshall Karp

• “Turbo Twenty-Three: A Stephanie Plum Novel” by Janet Evanovich

The Disney movie “Tangled” will be shown from 4–5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23. At 4:30 p.m., there will be a giveaway exchange game, and then the movie will resume.

The “Hot Reads for Cold Nights” program starts Monday, Jan. 2, at the Norwalk Public Library. Read a book, write a review, and win a prize. Prizes are mugs, magnets, lighted keychains and book bags from the Norwalk Public Library and the Winding Rivers Library System.

The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton Elementary School Traveling Preschool Playgroup will be at the Norwalk Public Library from 10–11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4.  Treats, stories, and games geared for preschoolers will be offered, with a chance for caregivers to talk to educators.

The mystery-book group will discuss Lee Child’s “Make Me,” the 20th book in the “Jack Reacher” series, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6.

Come to an open house at the Norwalk Public Library on Wednesday, Jan. 11, during our regular hours (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.). We’ll have treats, coffee, and conversation all day.
