N-O-W names artists of the month

The Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District has named its February artists of the month.

• Top — N-O-W Elementary School: Students in Brenda Fernholz’s kindergarten class made “wonderful channel prints into awesome monster faces coinciding with the book ‘Go Away, Big Green Monster’ by Ed Emberley,” said art teacher Patricia Holte.

• Middle — Brookwood Junior High School: Seventh-graders Gracie Brandau, Danica Rynes, Kristin Berg and Autumn Coleman made “creative books expressing their understanding of the principles of art and design,” Holte said.

• Below — Brookwood High School: Two students in 2-D Art, freshmen Peyton Clark and Cassidy Peterson, made complicated block prints with more than two colors.
