From the fishnet stockings to the “fantastic machine,” Kendall Area Arts and Culture Organization’s (KAACO)
annual play promises to offer a rollicking night of entertainment.

“Murder on the Oriental Rug” is set for 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at the Roundhouse in Kendall. Cast members Ken Brandau, Nick and Melissa Greenwell, Amanda Johnson and Sally Dana must deal with a series of comical situations that eventually lead to a murder.

“Murder on the Oriental Rug” is a dinner theater, with the meal and beverages served before the curtain opens and dessert served at intermission. Playgoers need to bring their own lawn chairs and will have a chance to guess who committed the murder.

The play is KAACO’s main fundraiser, and proceeds support community improvement, including the Kendall Public Library expansion, the arts, and Colors of Kendall/Autumn Ridge Tour.

Tickets are available in Kendall at the library, Farmers and Merchants Bank and the Fastrip at $15 each.
