Monroe County to issue WIC benefits

The Monroe County Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) will issue benefits and offer nutrition-education days in March. 

Participants can come to the WIC office in Sparta on Wednesday, March 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. or on Tuesday, March 20, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 

WIC provides healthful foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare and community resources.

    It appears we have some tentative good news on the health and welfare of Mr. Owl, the great horned owl that was shot in Wilton in October and whose recovery at the Coulee Region Humane Society the County Line has been tracking.
