An encore presentation of “All But Forgotten Institutions: A Glimpse Into the History of the Monroe County Poor Farm and Asylum” is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, July 8, at the Monroe County Local History Room, 200 Main St., Sparta.

“When local history room volunteer Scot Simpson began indexing the old records of Monroe County’s Almshouse and Asylum, he discovered more than just names and dates — he discovered forgotten people and compelling stories,” according to a press release prepared by the Monroe County Local History Room.
