I speak quite often at the N-O-W School Board meetings. In the short amount of time that the public is given, I brought up a summary of my concerns, as I am a patriot and a VERY concerned citizen. The article about November’s board meeting seemed to bring out what seemed to be the most interesting. However, to me, the meat of what I talked about was the seven mountains of influence: 1) religion; 2) family; 3) education; 4) media; 5) government; 6) arts and entertainment; and 7) business.

To me, it seems like there has been a downfall in each of these areas of influence. I encourage all patriotic and concerned Americans to get involved in some area no matter how significant one might think their contribution might be. Everything we do is felt somehow somewhere (ripple or butterfly effect). Remember the “starfish story”? Even if it helps one person, it is well worth the effort!

Also at that meeting, I summarized some methods that can be used to “hide” agendas like critical race theory and other critical theories, even though they are not mentioned in the curriculum at all. I will bring out examples in the future. 1) Pedagogy (a method or practice of teaching); 2) SEL (Social Emotional Learning); 3) CRT (Cultural Responsive Teaching); 4) Panorama (a resource for teachers).

All of these sound very good when one first examines them, just like false religions contain some truth but contain false doctrine.

It seems like the article I brought up at a couple meetings has hit a sore spot with some people. I mentioned where the high schoolers were in a chart that showed their proficiency in math and reading skills. At that time, they rated in the lower 30s as far as percentages of proficiency. According to one school board member, it has improved some since. In the article in the County Line, N-O-W rated 319 out of 462 in Wisconsin. I suggested to the board that perhaps the “communizing” Common Core program could be part of the issue. Ranking 319 out of 462 is not very good in my estimate. To me, that means that most of Wisconsin’s schools are in bad condition. I want N-O-W to be the best it can be. I want N-O-W to be at least in the top 10 percental range.

I also brought up that someone close to me is involved in antifa. Antifa is not correctly defined in the Oxford English Dictionary. There are also members of antifa in other countries. They have their own flag. Their name suggests they are against fascism. However, the opposite is more true. They protest peacefully and violently to accomplish their agenda. They are NOT as described in the dictionary. I KNOW!! In fact, the person close to me has been at peaceful and violent protests all across America. There was also a picture of him being arrested at the capitol building in Madison a few years ago at one of these protests.
