Kendall Public Library hosts Paint Night

By LYNETTE VLASAK | Kendall Public Library director

We give a big thank you to everyone who attended our Paint Night fundraiser on Nov. 11. Special thanks to the Kendall Fire Department for letting us use its meeting room and to Royall art teacher Valerie Banks, who helped all of the painters create their own masterpieces.

A couple of the finished pieces are on display in the library; stop by and take a look.

Our November book club will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at the library to discuss Tony Hillerman’s “The First Eagle.” Our book club will not meet again until January 2016. Movie night will not be offered in December, but look for it again in January.

Love Lights are being sold at the library. Purchase a Love Light to honor or remember special people in your life. The cost is $5 per light.

A list of Love Lights will be displayed in the library window, plus it will be published in the County Line and The Neighbors newspapers. Also, flyers listing all of the Love Light names will be available

Love Lights can be purchased at the library or by calling the library at 463-7103 during library hours or by calling Lynette at home at 463-7639.

The last day to purchase a Love Light will be Friday, Dec. 4. All proceeds from this project will go toward the library expansion project.

The library will be closed Thanksgiving Day. The Friends on Friday group will not meet the day after Thanksgiving, although the library will be open for regular hours on that day. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
