A 66-year-old Columbus, Ind., woman was injured early Friday afternoon while horseback riding at Wildcat Mountain State Park near Ontario.
According to Vernon County Sheriff John Spears, Kristine Jarosz was riding alone when she fell off her horse on the trail known as the Red Loop, which is near County Highway F.
Med-Link Air transported her to the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.
The Ontario Fire Department, the Ontario EMS, the Ontario Police Department, the Kickapoo Valley Reserve Police and the Wildcat Mountain State Park rangers provided assistance at the scene.
