Now on display at the Monroe County Local History Room & Museum in Sparta is the exhibit “Monroe County Chooses … The Toys We Love.”

This inter-generational exhibit features top toys from the 1940s to 1990s as chosen by more than 400 poll participants back in September.

Did G.I. Joe beat out He-Man as the top action figure? Did Barbie crush the doll competition? Which board game is the most beloved? The public is invited to check out the exhibit to find out.

The exhibit will be up through October 2021.

The Local History Room is open by reservation only from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. It is closed holidays (Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1). Call 269-8680 to make a reservation.

Admission is free.
