Gwendolyn “Gwen” Ann Schindler, 76, of South Dakota and formerly of Wilton, passed away on Nov. 18, 2020, in Belle Fourche, S.D.
She was born on Feb. 23, 1944, the daughter of Earl and Grace Stone in Wilton. Gwen was a member of the Wilton High School graduating class of 1963. On Aug. 24, 1963, Gwen was united in marriage to Daryl Schindler at St Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Gwen and Daryl farmed in Hillsboro, Wis., until 1971, when they moved to South Dakota.
She will be remembered for being a loving wife and wonderful life partner.
She is survived by her husband, Daryl, of 57 years.
A graveside committal service was at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at South Ridge Lutheran Cemetery in the town of Wellington. Pastor Bruce Milliman officiated. The Smith-Nelson Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
