A Cashton man was arrested for eighth-offense OWI on Oct. 1 in the town of Jefferson, according to Monroe County Sheriff Scott Perkins.
At 12:45 a.m., the Monroe County 911 Communication Center received a call that a car had gone into the ditch on Oklahoma Avenue and that the driver, Herbert F. Hafner, 45, had tried to get into the caller’s residence.
Neither Hafnor nor his female passenger was injured in the accident.
Hafner was also placed on a probation hold as a result of the incident.
