Brookwood forensics team is state-bound

The Brookwood High School forensics team competed at district competition March 11 at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Everyone who competed earned the right to go on to state competition on Friday, April 21, at UW-Madison.

Group interpretation

• Colton Brueggeman, Robert Cale and Sam Downing  — “The Bro Code”

• Addison Arndt, Ellen Marriott, Derek Myers, Allison Nelson and Alexa Watters — “Oh, I Need a Clue, All Right — I’m Just Not Sure It’s THIS One!”

• Emily Kansaku, Ashly Megonigle, Esmeralda Perez and McKenzi Rogalla — “Wifezilla” 

Prose 

• Micayla Hanson — “How I Got My Superpowers”

• Emily Powell — “My First Deer and Welcome to It”

Farrago

• Hanna Brey — Holocaust theme

Moments in History

• Tyler Brandau — Alternative history regarding the victor in the French/Indian Wars

The team also included Alexis Thomas, who chose not to compete at district in Farrago. The team is coached by Janet Jeffers.
