Brookwood homecoming celebration set for Sept. 4–8

Contributed by KEN CLINTON

Brookwood athletic director

Brookwood’s 2012 homecoming celebration will begin Tuesday, Sept. 4, and will feature numerous events in an exciting first week of school.

Daily activities involving our high school and middle school students will be offered, including our annual skit night, which will be Tuesday night, Sept. 5.

This year’s parade will be in Wilton at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, and, as always, we need several convertibles to transport our homecoming royalty. If you are willing to lend us your convertible for the parade, please contact Ken Clinton at Brookwood.

There is also the matter of our yet-to-be announced honorary grand marshal, who will preside over the parade. Nominees for this year’s grand marshal can be given to Ken Clinton or Amy Langner at Brookwood High School, and the Brookwood Letter Club will select the winner.

The homecoming football game at 7 p.m. Friday will feature our Falcons hosting the Hillsboro Tigers in what will surely be an exciting evening.

Saturday, Sept. 8, will begin with our third annual Falcon Golf Scramble, which once again will be at Fox Hollow in Barre Mills. The first two years of our golf outing have been a great time, and we hope to see it grow even more this year.

The past two years’ events featured event prizes on every hole, and we are expecting the same for this year. To sponsor a hole or donate a prize, please contact Ken Clinton. We also are always looking for teams to enter the golf scramble. Entry forms are available at Brookwood and will soon be on the Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School District website at www.now.k12.wi.us. Questions? Contact Ken Clinton.

Homecoming 2012 will conclude with our homecoming dance on Saturday night, Sept. 8, in the middle school gym.

Questions about homecoming can be directed to Ken Clinton at 337-4401 or kclinton@now.k12.wi.us.
