Norwalk is planning to join the 50th anniversary of the Elroy-Sparta State Trail that will be celebrated Saturday, June 6.
Norwalk Village Board president Mary Beth Hansen said at a May 12 meeting that each community along the trail would like to have at least 50 riders. Those 50 riders would wear matching T-shirts; a different T-shirt color would represent each community. Riders would receive a free T-shirt. They would converge in Kendall for a celebration ceremony.
The board agreed to donate $50 toward the cost of T-shirts.
