The Wilton Public Library’s book discussion group will meet Monday, May 11, to talk about Harper Lee’s “To Kill a Mockingbird.” This title is beloved by many. If you’ve never joined us for our discussions but have been considering it, you’d be more than welcome. We meet at 10:30 a.m.
We will show the film the next day (Tuesday, May 12) at 2 pm. The film, widely considered to be one of the greatest ever made, earned an overwhelmingly positive response from critics. It won three Academy Awards, including best actor for Gregory Peck. You do not need to join us for the book discussion to view the movie.

The library is recruiting teen volunteers for our summer reading program. The volunteers will help us Monday afternoons in July and during several planning sessions in June. Anyone who is interested should stop in at the library to pick up an application.

Our memorial garden is in bloom and has some new additions. Don and Julie Schreier have donated a lovely little statue of two little children reading, and Duane Evans has added a bird feeder to join our oriole feeder. Thank you for making the garden a lovely place for reflection and inspiration.
