Try our new program, Spring Into Reading @ the Norwalk Public Library! The rules are the following:

• Pick up a book at the Norwalk Public Library.

• Read the book.

• Write a short book review.

• Do this once for a free instant hot cider packet.

• Do this again for a free instant hot cocoa packet.

• Do this a third time and get a free glass jar with a handle and an instant hot coffee packet.

And, yes, we are using up the instant cider, cocoa, coffee packets and our glass jars with handles from our winter Hot Reads for Cold Nights program.

The Culver’s Coloring Contest started April 1. Celebrate your favorite book by drawing a picture about it. It can be a character, event, scene or anything you liked about the book. Return the drawing to the librarian, and you’ll receive a certificate for a free single scoop of Culver’s frozen custard in a cake cone or dish. You’ll also be eligible to win a special prize in a random drawing at your library. You must be between 4 and 11 years old and may submit only one drawing. The contest ends Thursday, April 30. The random drawing will be Friday, May 1, at 5 p.m.
