Beginning April 20, Tomah Memorial Hospital will offer a support group for Parkinson’s disease patients, family members and caregivers from 2–4 p.m. on the third Monday of the month in classroom C, which is on the lower level of the hospital.
Tomah Memorial occupational therapist Erin Kaczmarowski will be the guest speaker for the first session, presenting “The Brain Science Behind New Parkinson’s Treatments.”
In addition to monthly speakers, each meeting will include additional information on Parkinson’s, along with various treatment options, plus a social hour.
Parkinson’s disease is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system that affects the nerve cells in the brain.
