A Lexington, Ky., man has been charged with the murder of 40-year-old Todd Schumacher, formerly of Norwalk.
Matthew P. Donaghy, 20, Schumacher’s boyfriend, was arraigned this week on murder charges after Schumacher was found stabbed to death in his home in Lexington on Sunday, Jan. 18, according to LEX18.com.
In October, Donaghy was arrested on a care-and-treatment-of-animals charge. According to court records, in a “fit of rage,” Donaghy put “his roommate’s canine in a hot oven, causing multiple burns to the canine.” Schumacher had reported the animal was missing about a week ago, according to the LEX18.com report.
Schumacher is the son of Owen and Diane Schumacher of Norwalk and graduated from Brookwood High School in 1992.
